Can PS5 and PC Play Minecraft Together?

Yes. A PS5 player and a PC player can share a Minecraft world, but the answer depends on which version the PC player owns. If the PC player has Bedrock Edition for Windows, crossplay with PS5 works natively through the Microsoft friends list. If the PC player has Java Edition, the two can still play together, but only on a server that runs Geyser, such as HomeyCraft.

The PS5 player needs Minecraft and a Microsoft account signed in within the game. Check your console's online requirements, since Minecraft on PlayStation has often been treated differently from other online games. The PC player needs either Bedrock for Windows or Java Edition, each signed in to a Microsoft account.

1. If both players are on Bedrock, sign in to Microsoft accounts, add each other as friends, and join from the Friends tab.

2. If the PC player is on Java, both players should join a crossplay server instead.

3. On a console, use the free BedrockConnect helper once (about five minutes to set up), then join from its server list; consoles cannot add server addresses directly.

4. On PC, add the same server in your multiplayer menu and connect.

Console editions only list Featured Servers, which is why the BedrockConnect step exists.

Update both machines, since Bedrock platforms must be on matching versions. There is no built-in voice chat, so most groups use a console party or Discord.
